The exhibition of the young Rostov artist Alexander Savelinko opened on November 15 at the regional museum of fine arts (Rostov-on-Don, Pushkinskaya st., 115).
The exhibition will feature paintings of various genres: the plot composition, landscape, portrait and still life. Many works are exhibited for the first time.
According to the author, the main items in this exposition are genre works from the series “Rostov contrasts”. This cycle is based on the images of ordinary residents of the city of Rostov-on-Don, with their problems, joys, disappointments, unique and often contradictory characters.
These works are filled with certain symbols and paradoxical situations. The artist, despite the choice of rather sharp social themes, tries to show them with a certain amount of irony, enhanced drama, but at the same time without distorting reality.
The city landscape, which in the past was the basis of the work of Alexander Savelinko, now also plays an important role, emphasizing the images of the main characters of this cycle.
The personal exhibition of the artist will work in the regional museum from November 15 to December 16, 2018. Opening hours from 10:00 to 18:00.
