08 December 2017

In 2017, the project "Gastronomic Map of Russia", implemented by Rosturizm jointly with the Russian Export Center and the Federation of Restaurateurs and Hoteliers, was launched with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.

December 6, Rostov Region as an active participant in the project was awarded a diploma of Rosturism. Diplomas were granted to the Republics of Mordovia, Tatarstan and Udmurtia, Krasnodar Territory, as well as Vladimir, Kostroma, Samara, Tula and Ulyanovsk regions.

As a result of the project, an interactive map will appear on the national tourism portal, which will help you get acquainted with the national cuisines of the peoples of Russia. One of the central places on the map will be the Don cuisine.

The gastronomic map will tell you about the unique food products that are produced on the territory of our country, interesting dishes and traditions of local cuisine, and also about where all this can be tried. The map will include farms and food production enterprises, restaurants and cafes specializing in local cuisine, as well as the tourist routes that connect them.

The card will be available in Russian and foreign languages.

Recall that the expedition of the project "Gastronomic Map of Russia" visited the Don in August this year. The Rostov region became the first region in the south of Russia, which was marked on a gastronomic map.
